Nokia to launch new Meltemi cheap touch phones

New cheap Meltemi touch phones from Nokia. You may recall that some time ago in a leaked information about a new project of Nokia, called the Meltemi. The information alleged that it is a new platform for budget mobile phones that have touch screens and even multi-touch, but not based on Symbian, and a modified version of the S40.
We expect to see the first products using the new platform, May 15, when Nokia will hold a press conference in Pakistan. My Nokia Blog site says that within it we can see the models 305, 306 and 311. The first two are practically one device, but the 305 has two slots for SIM cards, and 306 – with one. Albeit in a slightly higher price range, far more interesting is 311 of which we expect Wi-Fi, 3.2MP camera, multitouch and battery with notable in-class capacity of 1000 mAh.

Meltemi will be taking a lot of interface elements MeeGo (Nokia N9), such as the three navigation screen, but will include like Android and Symbian components such as drop-down list of notifications.
